Interested in the ways in which inter-generational women receive knowledge and teach wisdom through everyday rituals and traditions, I collected and examined personal narratives in a variety of forms (anecdotes, sayings, lessons and beliefs about love, sex, marriage, money, child-rearing). I am curious about the power these narratives carry and how they inform, shape and direct women as new roles are assumed. In exchange for a narrative, each participant received a project ARTifact: a hand-printed tote bag to use during their daily rituals with a call to action to Teach Your Daughters Well.
