A private phone conversation is accessed only through the recorded voice of Wedgeworth as she discusses with her teenage daughter, her daughter's desire to have a boyfriend despite her inexperience with boys. A video plays of her daughter (then age 6) dancing, painting her toenails, and looking directly into the camera as themes of identity, self-esteem, femininity, youth, sex and memory are explored and contradicted.
